I've owned many car air compressors over the past 40+ years. Most were little pieces of junk -- shoddily built and didn't last too long. They might have come in a fancy case but they just overheated and burned out.
The RAD Sportz car air compressor is great! As soon as I got it (in November, 2012) I tested it on a number of flat spares I have, either for my Toyota Corolla or my Dodge minivan. It filled up the tires quickly without problems. I usually fill them to about 35 psi.
It has a strange coiled air hose, but it works well! Though it does not have a snap-on connector to the tire valve, the connector/adapter it does have connects without any difficulty.
It is built well, mostly of steel for the main housing, and it weighs close to five pounds, not like those other car compressors which weigh only a pound or two without their case, are made of plastic, and have motors that burn out quickly.
I liked the long 12 volt wire connected to the cigarette/cigar lighter plug. I always test everything I purchase and I checked the air gauge -- it is accurate to within +- 1 psi to my other gauges.
This seems to be one car accessory I will be able to use for a long time. I might even buy another for my second car.

I have only owned 3 different pumps including this one. This is the best one hands down. Too me, it is very quiet, at least when I compare it to other compressors. I have only used it on about 12 car tires(maybe 10 minutes of run time), but here are my observations...
Pros:
1)Quiet (compared to other compressors)
2)Quick to inflate
3)The most accurate gauge I have seen on a compressor (it does consistently reads about 1-2 psi high though)
4)Long ac cord and also I like the coiled air hose
5)Solid build (does not seem to rattle all over the place)
6)LED built-in light works good if you need it
7)minor but overlooked, I really like the handle on top of the compressor. (great for picking up while inflating to check pressure reading on gauge)
8)Includes a bag storage case for the pump
9)Price..I was able to get this for only 30 dollars and a few cents. WELL WORTH IT
Cons:
1)The bag carrying case is kind of cheap. It does do the job though as long as you are careful with the bag. The bag also has a handle on the top of it to carry it.
That is about it as far as CONS. You could say something about it not having an auto-off feature, but it was not a con to me since I was not looking for a pump with that feature.
Highly recommend this pump to anyone. I don't do many product reviews, but this one deserved a solid review. If you are trying to pick between a few different compressors, just stop now and buy this one, you will not regret it.

i am a used car sales rep in new england. i spend a lot of time filling tires with air and i have to say this is the best compressor we've had so far. we've gone through a number of brands that have failed us: diehard (extremely loud / motor burnt out), slime (useless gauge / gets very hot / flops around on the ground like a dying fish), and typhoon (connector broke into pieces like it was made of hardened clay / useless gauge). this compressor is heavy enough that it doesn't move when you have it on, has a needle that goes up steadily and is accurate, fills tires very quickly, is relatively quiet, and comes with a bag and accessories (it even has a led light on one end in case you need to fill a tire at night). i highly, highly recommend this product.
