The Fram Cabin filter was a big disappointment because it had half the filtering capacity of the one I took out. That is it had half the number of folds so half the area when compared to the original Toyota. It also is a little tricky to put in because the Fram filter arrow on the side points in the direction of AIR FLOW. The original filter has an arrow that points to the UP side of the filter, it says "this side up". If you put the Fram filter in with the arrow pointing up like the one that came out you would actually be putting the filter in UPSIDE DOWN because the air flows DOWN. This can be deduce by looking at the old filter. All the dirt and debris collects on the top of the filter meaning the dirty air enters from the top and flows down. So the old filter, arrow points up, the Fram filter, arrow should point down. A minor point but one many will confuse.

This filter fit well in my 2007 Camry.
Just had to open the glove box, empty it and drop it down by squeezing the end plates to pull the retaining pins. The Glove box then opens fully to expose a door for the Cabin filter. Note which way the air flow arrow goes. Points away from the dirty side of the existing filter.
The install fit was good and the air did smell fresh. With the old filter I was getting a musky smell due to age (onyx 30K miles and 1 year)
The new filter smells much better and was cheaper than a stock Toyota filter. Not sure how long the fresh smell lasts but it's a good start.

I used it on a 2007 Camry. Easy to replace, fits perfectly. I paid attention to the arrow for air direction - which is down for this one vs factory ones that simply point upward.
The quality of filtering is fine. It's a filter, it works and you can tell that it's working.
But my biggest disappointment was that it reduced the air-flow noticeably compared to the dealer (factory) installed filters.
I strongly suspect it has to do with a smaller surface area (as observed through fewer folds) compared to the factory filter like another reviewer noticed.
To give you a sense of how much the air flow is reduced, just think about the dial that controls the fan speed in the middle of the car. With this filter I get the same level of airflow at any given fan speed, that I used to get at one level below. It's not too much of a problem because I almost never used to have it at the maximum speed to begin with anyway. (So I just have to go one level higher to compensate).
In that sense this product is good enough, but I wish they matched the capacity of the factory filter. I would definitely be willing to pay more for a product like that. I am not sure I will buy this one again.
